MERCY LIFE CENTER IS LOCATED IN PITTSBURGH, PA AND PROVIDES A VARIETY OF SERVICES, INCLUDING MENTAL HEALTH, INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES, ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUGS, CRISIS CENTER, INTEGRATED HEALTH CARE, CHILD ABUSE, HOMELESS MEDICAL SERVICES, AND A PARISH NURSE AND HEALTH MINISTRY PROGRAM. MERCY LIFE CENTER HAS A WIDE RANGE OF FACILITIES LOCATED THROUGHOUT SOUTHWESTERN PENNSYLVANIA.MERCY LIFE CENTER IS COMPRISED OF MERCY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, MERCY INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES SERVICES, MERCY COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES, AND PITTSBURGH MERCY FAMILY HEALTH CENTER.MERCY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1969 AND IS THE LARGEST ENTITY WITHIN MERCY LIFE CENTER. SERVICES INCLUDE SECURING VOLUNTEER WORK, PROVIDING VOCATIONAL TRAINING, ARRANGING HOUSING THAT MATCHES THE AMOUNT OF SUPERVISION NEEDED, OR PROVIDING COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITIES AND HOME CARE FOR THOSE LIVING WITH THEIR FAMILIES. THE SERVICES ARE DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED.MERCY COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES PROMOTES THE MISSION OF MERCY COMMUNITY HEALTH (MCH), TO BE A REGIONAL LEADER IN DELIVERING COMPREHENSIVE, HIGH-QUALITY, PATIENT-CENTERED HOLISTIC HEALTH CARE. MCH DELIVERS PREVENTION AND EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES, HOMELESS SERVICES, AND INTEGRATED, WHOLE PERSON PRIMARY CARE.OPERATION SAFETY NET, A DIVISION OF MERCY COMMUNITY SERVICES, STARTED IN 1992 AND PROVIDES HEALTH CARE TO THE HOMELESS. OPERATION SAFETY NET IS RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE NATION'S FIRST, TARGETED, FULL-TIME STREET MEDICINE PROGRAMS. PROGRAMS INCLUDE STREET OUTREACH, WALKING TEAMS OF CLINICIANS PROVIDING CARE IN THE STREETS, A MEDICAL SERVICES MOBILE VAN, A DROP-IN CLINIC, AND CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES.PITTSBURGH MERCY FAMILY HEALTH CENTER IS A PERSON-CENTERED MEDICAL HOME.
