PROVIDE CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION TO ITS MEMBERS IN ORDER TO ELEVATE AND MAINTAIN A HIGH STANDARD OF PROFICIENCY AND INTEGRITY. THE SOUTH CENTRAL CHAPTER OF PSTAP SERVES 212 MEMBERS.


THE SOUTH CENTRAL AND CENTRAL CHAPTERS OF THE PENNSYLVANIA SOCIETY OF PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS SPONSORSHIP OF QUALITY EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS AT A REASONABLE PRICE FOR THE ACCOUNTING COMMUNITY.


ANNUALLY THE SOUTH CENTRAL CHAPTER AWARDS UP TO TWO $500 SCHOLARSHIPS TO JUNIORS, SENIORS, OR GRADUATE STUDENTS WHO DEMONSTATE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AND WHOSE PARENT, LEGAL GUARDIAN, OR GRANDPARENT IS AN ACTIVE MEMBER. THE MEMBERSHIP MAY MAKE VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS TO SUPPORT THIS PROGRAM.


THE OBJECT OF THIS CHAPTER IS TO ELEVATE AND MAINTAIN AMONG ITS MEMBERS A HIGH STANDARD OF PROFICIENCY AND INTEGRITY, TO PROMOTE AND TO PROTECT THE INTEREST OF PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS WITHIN THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, TO PROMOTE LOCAL ASSOCIATIONS OF PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS AND ESTABLISH GOODWILL AND UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND THE PUBLIC ACCOUNTING PROFESSION THROUGHOUT THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA
