THE PENNSYLVANIA CHILD CARE ASSOCIATION (PACCA), A STATEWIDE NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, EXISTS TO BE A STRONG AND EFFECTIVE ADVOCATE FOR HIGH-QUALITY EARLY CARE AND EDUCATION (ECE) PROGRAMS, AND TO GIVE LEADERSHIP AND SUPPORT TO THOSE ORGANIZATIONS THAT ASSIST THE ECE COMMUNITY, FAMILIES, AND CHILDREN IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA.

PACCA REPRESENTS ITS MEMBERS ON PUBLIC AND PRIVATE WORK GROUPS, TASK FORCES, AND COMMITTEES ADDRESSING CHILD CARE AND EARLY LEARNING. IT REPRESENTS THE NEEDS OF ITS MEMBERS WITH STATE AND FEDERAL POLICYMAKERS. THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING FOR CHILD CARE PROFESSIONALS TO IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS AND KEEP THEM ABREAST OF TRENDS IN THE FIELD. PACCA PROVIDES NEWS, LEGISLATIVE AND PUBLIC POLICY UPDATES, AND INFORMATION THROUGH MULTIPLE METHODS. IN ADDITION, PACCA FACILITATES NETWORKING BETWEEN ITS MEMBERS THROUGH COMMITTEES, CONFERENCES, AND FORUMS.
PACCA MANAGES THE T.E.A.C.H. EARLY CHILDHOOD PENNSYLVANIA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM WHICH WORKS WITH EARLY CHILDHOOD PROVIDERS, COLLEGES, AND PUBLIC & PRIVATE FUNDERS TO OFFER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS AND SUPPORT SYSTEMS THAT IMPROVE THE EDUCATION AND COMPENSATION OF PENNSYLVANIAS EARLY CHILDHOOD WORKFORCE. T.E.A.C.H. OBTAINS ITS FUNDING THROUGH GRANTS FROM BUSINESSES, FOUNDATIONS AND GOVERNMENT. BY HELPING TO INCREASE PROFESSIONALISM, RAISE WAGES AND REDUCE TURNOVER OF CHILD CARE STAFF, THIS PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP BRINGS HIGHER QUALITY CARE AND EDUCATION TO PENNSYLVANIAS CHILDREN.
