GREATER PITTSBURGH CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU, INC., DBA VISITPITTSBURGH (THE BUREAU) IS THE OFFICIAL TOURISM PROMOTION AGENCY FOR ALLEGHENY COUNTY (THE COUNTY), PENNSYLVANIA. THE BUREAU'S GOAL IS TO ENHANCE THE COUNTY'S ECONOMY BY INCREASING VISITATION FROM TOURISTS, CONVENTIONS, MEETINGS AND OTHER VARIOUS EVENTS AS A SOURCE OF REVENUE AND JOBS. THE BUREAU IS RESPONSIBLE FOR INTRODUCING PITTSBURGH AND THE COUNTY TO THE WORLD THROUGH AGGRESSIVE SALES, MARKETING AND MEMBERSHIP COOPERATIVE EFFORTS THAT ATTRACT CONVENTIONS, SPORTS EVENTS AND LEISURE VISITORS.
