ANNUAL CONFERENCE: PROVIDES A FORUM FOR SCHOLARS FROM THE USA AND AROUND THE WORLD TO PRESENT AND DISCUSS THEIR RESEARCH. APPROXIMATELY 2400 ATTENDED IN 2021.
QUARTERLY JOURNAL: THE ASSOCIATION PUBLISHES A QUARTERLY JOURNAL, "LAW & SOCIETY REVIEW." WORK BY APPROXIMATELY 60 AUTHORS WAS PUBLISHED IN THE 2020-2021 VOLUME, PLUS MANY MORE BOOKS WERE REVIEWED AND SCHOLARS SERVED AS PEER REVIEWERS.
EDUCATION AND WORKSHOPS: FOR SCHOLARS NEW TO THE FIELD, THE ASSOCIATION ORGANIZES ANNUAL SEMINARS TO DISCUSS RESEARCH, TEACHING AND PUBLISHING, AND OFFERS MENTORSHIP BY SENIOR SCHOLARS WHO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME. IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING OUR ANNUAL MEETING, WE HOST A JUNIOR SCHOLARS WORKSHOP WHICH BRINGS TOGETHER EARLY CAREER SCHOLARS TO SHARE RESEARCH, NETWORK, AND DISCUSS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ISSUES.
OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDE AWARDING PRIZES FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS IN SCHOLARSHIP, MENTORSHIP, AND SERVICE; AWARDING GRANTS FOR RESEARCH AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO MEMBERS; MONITORING ACTIVITIES OF LSA SUBGROUPS CALLED COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH NETWORKS AND INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH COLLABORATIVES; AND PARTICIPATING IN THE CONSORTIUM OF SOCIAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATIONS AND AMERICAN COUNCIL OF LEARNED SOCIETIES.
