TO DEVELOP OPTIMISM AS A PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE UTILIZING THE TENETS OF THE OPTIMIST CREED TO AID AND ENCOURAGE THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUTH IN THE BELIEF THAT THE GIVING OF ONE'S SELF IN SERVICE TO OTHERS WILL ADVANCE THE WELL-BEING OF HUMANKIND, COMMUNITY LIFE AND THE WORLD.THE RIVERSIDE OPTIMIST YOUTH CLUB, A SERVICE ORGANIZATION THAT BENEFITS CHILDREN THROUGH SPECIAL PROJECTS AND FINANCIAL DONATION. THE GOAL OF THE CLUB IS TO BRING OUT THE BEST IN KIDS WHICH IS ACCOMPLISHED BY CONTRIBUTING MONEY AND ASSISTANCE TO LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, BACK PACKS FOR STUDENTS, SCHOLARSHIPS AND MORE. THIS IS DONE WITH THE EXPECTATION THAT BY RECOGNIZING OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AND SERVICE TO THE YOUTH, OTHERS WILL STRIVE TO DO GREAT THINGS FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR COMMUNITY.
