LOCAL 205 IS A DAY CARE EMPLOYEES UNION. THE UNION IS AFFILIATED WITH AFSCME DISTRICT COUNCIL 37 (PREVIOUSLY WITH DISTRICT COUNCIL 1707) WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE ITS MEMBERS WITH COLLECTIVE BARGAINING, NEGOTIATION ARBITRATION AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS ON BEHALF OF ITS MEMBERS. IN ADDITION, THE UNION DELEGATES ATTENDS VARIOUS CONFERENCES THROUGHOUT THE STATES TO PROVIDE ITS MEMBERS WITH THE LATEST NEWS AND ADVANCES IN THE DAY CARE REGULATIONS AND LAWS.
