PATIENT CARE SERVICES. PATIENT ENCOUNTERS THIS YEAR WERE 72,067.
SUPPORT TO THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA AT BIRMINGHAM. THE VALLEY FOUNDATION PROVIDES THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA BIRMINGHAM'S HUNTSVILLE REGIONAL MEDICAL CAMPUS ACCESS TO PATIENTS AND MEDICAL SERVICES TO FACILITATE THE CLINICAL TRAINING NECESSARY TO MEET EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIRD AND FOURTH YEAR MEDICAL STUDENTS, INTERNAL AND FAMILY MEDICINE RESIDENTS. TRAINING WAS PROVIDED FOR 59 RESIDENTS AND 66 MEDICAL STUDENTS.
CONTRACTED CLINICAL SERVICES PROVIDED AT A LOCAL NURSING HOME, THE MADISON COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER, HOSPICE, ALETHEIA HOUSE, COUNTY JAIL, HUNTSVILLE HOSPITAL, & THRIVE ALABAMA.
