THE TARGET MARKET IS STUDENTS OF MUSIC AND VISUAL ARTS OF ALL AGES WHO HAVE A DESIRE AND PASSION TO EXCEL IN SCHOOL, MUSIC, TEAMWORK AND LIFE EXPERIENCES.

THE MANDARINS PROVIDES THE IDEAL BALANCE OF EDUCATION, FAMILY VALUES, PERSONAL TIME, AND THE BLENDING OF ASIAN TRADITIONS WITH DRUM CORPS. WE ARE COMMITTED TO THE GROWTH OF THE LIVES OF YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE WHILE PROVIDING ENJOYMENT FOR THE SACRAMENTO COMMUNITY AND AUDIENCES WORLDWIDE.THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH, INSTILLING DISCIPLINE AND DEVELOPING TALENT, BY CONDUCTING DRUM AND BUGLE FIELD SHOWS FOR THE PUBLIC. THIS PROGRAM INCLUDES PURCHASES AND MAINTENANCE OF INSTRUMENTS AND UNIFORMS AND TRAVEL TO VARIOUS DESTINATIONS ACROSS THE COUNTRY THAT HOST DRUM AND BUGLE CORP COMPETITIONS.THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES BEGINNING BAND INSTRUCTION FOR LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE SACRAMENTO AREA. THE MANDARINS REACHED AN AGREEMENT IN 2021 TO OFFER INSTRUMENTAL BAND CLASSES AT EACH OF THE ELK GROVE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICTS 42 ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS STARTING IN 2022. THIS PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE THE STUDENTS WITH AN INTRODUCTION TO MUSICAL PERFORMANCE THAT THEY CONTINUE ON THROUGH MIDDLE SCHOOL, HIGH SCHOOL AND BEYOND.
