THE ATHENEUM SOCIETY OF WILBRAHAM IS RUN BY A GROUP OF VOLUNTEERS. THE OLD MEETING HOUSE MUSEUM IS MAINTAINED BY THE SOCIETY AND IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ONE DAY A MONTH FROM MAY THROUGH DECEMBER. THE MUSEUM HOLDS A COLLECTION OF OBJECTS AND MEMORABILIA RELATED TO THE PEOPLE AND HISTORY OF THE GREATER WILBRAHAM AREA, INCLUDING HOUSEHOLD ITEMS, BOOKS, CLOTHING, FURNITURE, TOYS, TOOLS, PHOTOS, AND DOCUMENTS. OPEN HOUSE EVENTS ARE FREE TO THE PUBLIC AND PROVIDE VARIOUS TYPES OF PROGRAMS RELATED TO THE GREATER WILBRAHAM AREA AND NEW ENGLAND, AS WELL AS AN ANNUAL ICE CREAM SOCIAL/ART SHOW AND A CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL. A NEWSLETTER IS SENT TO MEMBERS SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR TO PROVIDE UPDATES REGARDING MEMBERSHIP AND UPCOMING PROGRAMS.
