TO BRING TOGETHER INDIVIDUALS INTERESTED IN THE JOHNSON COUNTY LIBRARY SYSTEM, PROMOTE INFORMED COMMUNITY INTEREST IN LIBRARY FUNCTIONS, RESOURCES, SERVICES AND NEEDS, AND TO RAISE SUPPLEMENTARY FUNDS FOR JOHNSON COUNTY LIBRARY.

FRIENDS OF JOHNSON COUNTY LIBRARY (FJCL) OPERATES TWO USED BOOKSTORES AND HOLDS POP-UP SALES IN THE COMMUNITY. FRIENDS BOOKSTORES AND POP-UP SALES PROVIDE VISIBILITY AND BUILD COMMUNITY FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND ENABLE RESIDENTS TO PURCHASE GENTLY-USED BOOKS AND AUDIOVISUAL MATERIALS AT BARGAIN PRICES. FJCL LAUNCHED AN ONLINE STOREFRONT IN 2021, MARKING IT EASIER FOR PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY TO BROWSE ONLINE SHOPS. FJCL ALSO CONTINUED WORK ON THE LACKMAN EXPANDED SERVICES PROPOSAL THAT INCLUDES OPERATIONS REFINEMENT AND ADVOCACY GUIDANCE. SEE SCHEDULE O FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.
