TO PROVIDE MEMBERS INFORMATION RELATING TO TURF MANAGEMENT.

THE MGCSA HOSTS ROUGHLY 2 DOZEN MEMBER-NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES ANNUALLY. THIS INCLUDES A TWO-DAY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM ATTENDED BY AN AVERAGE OF 110 INDIVIDUALS, TWO EQUIPMENT MANAGER FIELDTRIPS/TOURS OF LOCAL INDUSTRY COMPANIES ATTENDED BY TWO DOZEN EACH EVENT, SIX OUTSTATE DAY LONG EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND SIX OUTSTATE GOLF/NETWORKING EVENTS. THE LATER HOST AN AVERAGE OF TWO DOZEN PER PROGRAM. THE MGCSA ALSO HOSTS A WELL ATTENDED (135) NATIONAL HOSPITALITY NIGHT. THE ASSOCIATION HAS THREE WEB NOTIFICATION VEHICLES, MONDAY MARK YOUR CALENDAR, TUESDAY CAREER CONNECTION AND THURSDAY THE STIMPMETER. EACH HAS AN OPEN RATE BETWEEN 45 AND 52%. THE TEN ISSUE HOLE NOTES MAGAZINE HAS A READERSHIP OF ABOUT 540 PER ISSUE.THE MGCSA SUPPORTS THE MINNESOTA GOLF INDUSTRY THROUGH ADVOCASY EFFORTS AT BOTH THE AGENCY AND LEGISLATIVE LEVEL. EMPHASIS IS PLACED UPON ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP.THE MGCSA ALSO SUPPORTS MEMBER DRIVEN RESEARCH AT THE UMN AND UW MADISON TO FURTHER TURF MANAGEMENT SKILLS. THE RESULTS ARE PUBLISHED IN THE HOLE NOTES MAGAZINE AND UPON THE MGCSA WEB SITE AND PRESENTED AT VARIOUS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS.
