THE LADIES AUXILIARY OF THE VFW SUPPORTS THE COMMUNITY THROUGH DONATIONS TO LOCAL CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS SCHOOL ORGANIZATIONS AND VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS. THEY GIVE SCHOLARSHIPS TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS THAT PROMOTE PRIDE IN AMERICA.
THE LADIES AUXILLARY SUPPORTS VETERANS ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS THE VETERAN'S NATIONAL CHILDREN'S HOME, VETERANS HOSPITALS, VETERANS NURSING HOMES AND SHELTERS FOR HOMELESS VETERANS. IT ALSO PROVIDES FUNDS TO NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS FOR CANCER RESEARCH.
THE LADIES AUXILIARY SERVES VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN TIMES OF NEED BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND/OR FOOD ASSISTANCE. THESE TIMES OF NEED ARE DEFINED AS SICKNESS, DEATH, DISASTERS AND FINANCIAL NEED.
