ASSISTANCE TO EDUCATIONAL GROUPS - APPLIED SCHOLASTICS INTERNATIONAL ADVANCES EDUCATION BY TEACHING INDIVIDUALS AND EDUCATORS HOW TO LEARN EFFECTIVELY THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE TECHNIQUES CALLED "STUDY TECHNOLOGY". IT PUBLISHES AN EXTENSIVE LIBRARY OF EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL BASED ON STUDY TECHNOLOGY, AND COORDINATES THE EFFORTS OF AFFILIATED APPLIED SCHOLASTICS GROUPS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD THAT UTILIZE STUDY TECHNOLOGY AND APPLIED SCHOLASTICS MATERIAL IN THEIR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. 247 NEW GROUPS WERE ESTABLISHED IN 2021 FOR A TOTAL WORLDWIDE OF 2,597 GROUPS AND ACTIVITIES SERVICING AN AVERAGE OF 13,931 STUDENTS PER WEEK AND PROVIDING 2.3 MILLION TUTORING HOURS IN 2021.
EDUCATION AND LITERACY PROGRAMS - APPLIED SCHOLASTICS INTERNATIONAL AND LICENSED GROUPS TRAINED 326 EDUCATORS FROM 9 COUNTRIES TO RECOGNIZE AND OVERCOME THE BARRIERS STUDENTS ROUTINELY ENCOUNTERED. THESE INCLUDE STRATEGIES FOR WORKING WITHIN CLASSROOMS WITH DIVERSE LEVELS OF STUDENT COMPETENCY; TECHNIQUES FOR CLOSING THE GAPS IN STUDENT ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT; SPECIALIZED TUTORING TECHNIQUES FOR PHONICS, SIGHT WORD REPERTOIRE, SUBJECT VOCABULARY, AND COMPREHENSION STRATEGIES. IN 2021, SEVERAL TEACHER-TRAINING PROJECTS OCCURRED INCLUDING 11 EDUCATORS TRAINED THROUGH AN ONLINE COURSE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION IN MEXICO, 20 EDUCATORS TRAINED THROUGH WORKSHOPS IN LIBERIA, AND 141 TEACHERS TRAINED THROUGH TWO TEACHER TRAINING COLLEGES IN NIGERIA.
PUBLIC AWARENESS AND INFORMATION CAMPAIGNS - ONE OF APPLIED SCHOLASTICS INTERNATIONAL'S PRINCIPAL PROGRAMS IS SHOWING THE PUBLIC HOW THEY CAN OVERCOME LEARNING PROBLEMS COMMONLY ENCOUNTERED, PRIMARILY THROUGH PUBLIC LECTURES, SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS. IN 2021, APPLIED SCHOLASTICS REPRESENTATIVES HELPED 1.7 MILLION PEOPLE IN 43 COUNTRIES THROUGH THE VARIOUS SERVICES LISTED ABOVE. OVER THE YEAR, APPLIED SCHOLASTICS INTERNATIONAL AND ITS GROUPS DISTRIBUTED FACTUAL INFORMATION ON SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL PROBLEMS AND WORKABLE SOLUTIONS THROUGH A VARIETY OF MAILINGS, NEWSLETTERS, NEWSPAPER ARTICLES, RADIO AND TV INTERVIEWS AND SHOWS AND PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS REACHING MILLIONS.
