OVER FOUR MILLION PEOPLE IN OVER 150 COUNTRIES ARE REACHED EACH MONTH WITH EPILEPSY NEWS, EDUCATION AND SUPPORT. THERE WERE 156 IN PERSON PROGRAMS GIVEN IN 2020, OFFERING ACCURATE AND TIMELY INFORMATION ON EPILEPSY TO PUBLIC GROUPS, SCHOOLS, TEACHERS, MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, EMPLOYERS, FAMILY MEMBERS, SOCIAL SERVICE PROFESSIONALS AND MORE. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH THE EMPLOYMENT OF A FULL-TIME HEALTH EDUCATOR. CLIENT/PATIENT SERVICES AND CASE MANAGEMENT: EACF DIRECTLY SERVED 779 UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS IN 2019 WITH AN AVERAGE MONTHLY CLIENT LOAD OF 559 PERSONS A MONTH WITH EPILEPSY WHO CANNOT AFFORD CARE OR DO NOT HAVE MEDICAL INSURANCE THROUGH IT'S CASE MANAGEMENT AND EPILEPSY RELATED MEDICAL SERVICES PROGRAM BY OFFERING DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES SUCH AS MRIS AND EEGS, LABORATORY TESTING, CLINICAL VISITS WITH NEUROLOGISTS, AND ACCESS TO ANTI-EPILEPTIC MEDICATION(S) ALLOWING THESE PERSONS TO MAINTAIN OR SEEK THEIR PLACE IN SOCIETY, AS WELL AS REMAIN IN OR ENTER THE WORKFORCE OR SCHOOL THUS REDUCING THE BURDEN ON GOVERNMENT AND SOCIETY. EACF FURTHER REDUCES UNNECESSARY EMERGENCY ROOM VISITS BY GIVING THESE INDIVIDUALS SOMEWHERE TO GO FOR TREATMENT.
