THE CHEWELAH RURAL AMBULANCE RESPONDED TO 1220 CALLS IN THE CHEWELAH AND SURROUNDING AREA IN 2021. APPROXIMATLEY 1100 OF THESE CALLS RESULTED IN TRANSPORTS, PRIMARILY TO THE LOCAL HOSPITALS AND THE SPOKANE WA AREA HOSPITALS. THE 3 AMBULANCE DEPARTMENT LOGGED APPROXIMATELY 50,000 MILES WHILE PERFORMING RESPONSES IN 2021. IN 2021 THE ORGANIZAITON RECEIVED A NEW AMBULANCE ON LOAN FROM STEVENS COUNTY ARPA (COVID-19)FUNDING. 4 INDIVIDUALS WERE SPONSORED FOR EMT CLASSES AND RECEIVED THEIR CERTIFICATION.
