TO EXPOSE YOUNG CHILDREN FROM LOW-INCOME NEIGHBORHOODS TO LITERATURE AND THE BENEFITS OF LITERACY SKILLS BY OPERATING A MOBILE CLASSROOM CALLED STORY BUS.


THE ANIMAL ORCHESTRA EXHIBIT WILL USE ANTHROPOMORPHIC ANIMALS TO ENGAGE CHILDREN IN CLASSICAL MUSIC.


THE VAN GOGH FOR CHILDREN EXHIBIT WILL TOUR ART MUSEUMS AND CHILDREN'S MUSEUMS, AND ENGAGE CHILDREN IN THE IDEA THAT THEY CAN BE ARTISTS.


THE KOHL EDUCATION PRIZE HIGHLIGHTS THE WORK OF A LEADER IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION. THAT LEADER PRESENTS HIS OR HER IDEAS IN FRONT OF AN AUDIENCE OF CHICAGO'S LEADING PHILANTHROPISTS AND BUSINESS OWNERS, TO HELP INFORM THESE LEADERS ABOUT THE CURRENT STATE OF EDUCATION.
