THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST SKI EDUCATION FOUNDATION (PNWSEF) IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY TO ENGAGE IN AND CONDUCT CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES. INCLUDED WITHIN SAID PURPOSES, BUT NEITHER BY WAY OF LIMITATION NOR EXPANSION THEREON ARE: TO ASSIST THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST SKI ASSOCIATION (PNSA), THE US SKI & SNOWBOARD ASSOCIATION, AND OTHER NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS ALIGNED WITH OUR CHARITABLE PURPOSES, TO CARRY OUT THE OBJECTS AND PURPOSES FOR WHICH SUCH ORGANIZATIONS ARE ESTABLISHED; TO EDUCATE MEMBERS OF PNSA, US SKI & SNOWBOARD ASSOCIATION, AND THE PUBLIC AS TO ALL FACETS OF LOCAL, NATIONAL, AND INTERNATIONAL SKI COMPETITION; TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS TO WORTHY ALPINE AND NORDIC COMPETITORS AND THEIR COACHES IN ORDER TO ATTEND LOCAL, REGIONAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS; TO FURTHER THEIR TRAINING; AND ASSIST THEM IN PURSUING COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY, AND POST- GRADUATE STUDIES; TO CARRY ON, SPONSOR AND SUPPORT EDUCATIONAL AND RELATED ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO PROVIDE AL

SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS: THERE ARE 3 SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED ANUALLY TO PACIFIC NW SKI ASSOCIATION ATHLETES AND COACHES FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION. THE TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED INCLUDE: A SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED TO AN OUTSTANDING FEMALE SKI RACER FOR COLLEGE EDUCATION, A SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED TO AN OUSTANDING MALE SKI RACER FOR COLLEGE EDUCATION, AND A SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED TO A COACH FOR HIS/HER EDUCATION AND MAY BE USED FOR COLLEGE TUITION OR FOR REGISTRATION COSTS TO ATTEND COACHING CLINICS. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR 9 SCHOLARSHIPS WERE GIVEN OUT.


ALPINE TEAM GRANTS: INDIVIDUAL GRANT PROGRAM COVERS EXPENSES INCURRED DURING COMPETITION OR TRAINING. PROJECT GRANTS ARE USED TO UNDERWRITE A PORTION OF THE PROJECT'S COST; THIS INCLUDES THE ALPINE SPEED CAMP/ TECHNOLOGY PROJECT GRANTS AND IMPACT PROJECT. OTHER GRANTS INCLUDE GRANTS FOR OFFICIALS/COACHES CLINICS AND B-NET.


NORDIC JO TEAM GRANTS: INDIVIDUAL GRANT PROGRAM COVERS EXPENSES INCURRED DURING COMPETITION OR TRAINING. PROJECT GRANTS ARE USED TO UNDERWRITE A PORTION OF THE PROJECT'S COST; THIS INCLUDES THE IMPACT PROJECT.
