CFA SOCIETY CINCINNATI IS AN ASSOCIATION OF LOCAL INVESTMENT PROFESSIONALS, CONSISTING OF PORTFOLIO MANAGERS, SECURITY ANALYSTS, INVESTMENT ADVISORS, AND OTHER FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALS. WE PROMOTE ETHICAL AND PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS WITHIN THE INVESTMENT INDUSTRY, COLLABORATE WITH LOCAL UNIVERSITIES IN ORGANIZING AND HOSTING THE GLOBAL RESEARCH CHALLENGE, ENCOURAGE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE CFA PROGRAM AND CONTINUING EDUCATION, FACILITATE THE EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION AND OPINIONS AMONG PEOPLE WITHIN THE LOCAL INVESTMENT COMMUNITY AND BEYOND, AND WORK TO FURTHER THE PUBLIC'S UNDERSTANDING OF THE CFA DESIGNATION AND INVESTMENT INDUSTRY. AS PART OF OUR INITIATIVE WE BEGAN LAST YEAR TO BROADEN MEMBER ENGAGEMENT, WE CREATED A MEMBERSHIP VALUE COMMITTEE TO EXAMINE WAYS IN WHICH WE CAN BETTER SERVE OUR MEMBERS. FROM THAT EFFORT, WE WILL BE LAUNCHING OUR FIRST EVER MENTORSHIP PROGRAM IN THE FALL OF 2021. DURING THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR, THE BOARD WILL CONTINUE TO SEEK WAYS TO FURTHER DEEPEN MEMBER VALUE AND WILL BE LAYING THE GROUNDWORK TO LAUNCH LONGER, MULTI-TERM INITIATIVES RELATED TO RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE CHARTER, (I.E. VS. CFP, ETC.) SPREADING THE WORD TO OUR UNDERREPRESENTED YOUNG PEOPLE REGARDING CAREERS IN THE INVESTMENT INDUSTRY.
