CHICAGO WEST SIDE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL (CWSCS) SERVES THE LOCAL GEOGRAPHIC AND RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WITH PRESCHOOL THROUGH EIGHTH GRADE DAY SCHOOL (ABOUT 143 STUDENTS ATTENDING), A BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM (APPROXIMATELY 30 ATTENDING) AND A SIX WEEK SUMMER PROGRAM (APPROXIMATELY 60 ATTENDING). STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN A RIGOROUS ACADEMIC ATMOSPHERE THAT ENCOURAGES THOUGHTFUL ENGAGEMENT AND RESPONSE. THE SCHOOL PROVIDES A STRONG CULTURE AND CLIMATE THAT ENCOURAGES THE BUILDING OF COMMUNITY, CONCERN FOR OTHERS, RESPONSIBILITY TO PURSUE EXCELLENCE AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF LIFE-LONG LEARNING PRACTICIES SO STUDENTS ARE EQUIPPED TO LEAD AND SERVE THROUGHOUT THEIR LIVES.
