THE DEVOS URBAN LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE IMPLEMENTED A PROGRAM TO IDENTIFY AND TRAIN EMERGING YOUTH MINISTRY LEADERS IN LOCAL URBAN, INNER-CITY COMMUNITIES. IN 2021, 58 PARTICIPANTS FROM CHICAGO, CINCINNATI, DENVER, NEWARK AND THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. THE SELECTION PROCESS WAS ALSO COMPLETED FOR 47 PARTICIPANTS FROM LOUISVILLE KY, DETROIT MI, WASHINGTON DC, SAN ANTONIO TX AND PORTLAND OR. THE CURRICULUM WAS DELIVERED THROUGH IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS AND CONFERENCES TO BENEFIT PERSONS IN LEADERSHIP POSITIONS WORKING WITH AT-RISK YOUTH IN THEIR RESPECTIVE ORGANIZATIONS AND CITIES.
