THE MCC EDUCATIONAL COUNCILS HAVE ONE FULL-TIME SCHOOL WITH A TOTAL OF 648 STUDENTS. THESE SCHOOLS ARE PAROCHIAL ELEMENTARY INSTITUTIONS FULLY ACCREDITED BY THE STATE OF ILLINOIS. THE CURRICULUM OF THE SCHOOL IS IN LINE WITH THE STANDARDS PROPOSED BY THE ISBE ILLINOIS STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION. IN ADDITION, WE OFFER A CURRICULUM OF ISLAMIC STUDIES WHICH INCLUDES A COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM AIMED AT THE EXPLANATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ISLAMIC PRACTICES AND PRINCIPLES, AS WELL AS MASTERY OF THE ARABIC LANGUAGE.
PRAYER SERVICES PROVIDE FIVE OBLIGATORY PRAYERS IN A DAY. IT ALSO PROVIDES A CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER THAT MUSLIMS HOLD EVERY FRIDAY AFTER NOON IN THE PLACE OF ZUHR PRAYER. IN ADDITION, IT HOLDS EID PRAYERS, ALSO KNOWN AS SALAT AL-EIDAIN WHICH IS THE SPECIAL PRAYER OFFERED TO COMMEMORATE TWO FESTIVALS. THE TWO FESTIVALS ARE 1 EID AL-FITR WHICH IS CELEBRATED ON THE DAY OF SHAWWAL, THE 10TH MONTH OF THE ISLAMIC CALENDAR THE FIRST DAY AFTER RAMADAN 2 EID AL-ADHA, WHICH IS CELEBRATED ON THE 10TH DAY OF DHU AL-HAJJ, THE 12TH MONTH OF ISLAMIC CALENDAR.
MCC PART TIME SCHOOL PTS SYSTEM CATERS SUNDAY SCHOOLS, ONE AT THE MCC LOCATION AND THE OTHER AT MEC ONE SATURDAY SCHOOL AT MCC LOCATION AND ONE DAR-UL-ULOOM SCHOOL AT MEC. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY SCHOOLS TYPICALLY RUN FROM 10AM TO 2PM, WHEREAS DARUL-UL-ULOOM SCHOOLS RUN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 5PM THROUGH 7PM. EACH SCHOOL IS RUN BY DEDICATED TEACHERS. IN SATURDAY AND SUNDAY SCHOOLS WE HAVE STANDARD CURRICULUM. DAR-UL-ULOOM SCHOOL HAVE DEVELOPING STANDARDIZED CURRICULUM AS WELL. EACH SCHOOL TEACHES QURAN, RECITATION WITH RULES AND REGULATIONS, AKHLAQ, AQAID AND IBADAAT ALONG WITH ISLAMIC HISTORY AND NARRATIVES OF PROPHETS.
