TO TRAIN TEACHERS IN ECONOMICS AND FINANCIAL LITERACY INSTRUCTION, ENABLING THEM TO PASS THIS KNOWLEDGE TO STUDENTS IN THE CLASSROOM. ACEE PROVIDES PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH ONLINE WEBINARS AND IN PERSON WORKSHOPS HELD THROUGHOUT THE STATE UTILIZING TESTED AND APPROVED CURRICULUM MATERIALS THAT COMPLY WITH THE ALABAMA STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION STANDARDS AND GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS. CURRICULUM MATERIALS AND/OR IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS ARE PROVIDED AT NO COST AND ACEE GIVES FUNDS DIRECTLY TO SCHOOLS FOR SUBSTITUTE TEACHER PAY SO THAT TEACHERS MAY ATTEND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS OR WEBINARS.
TO OFFER STUDENTS GRADES 6 TO 12 A VARIETY OF CLASSROOM PROGRAMS WHERE THE STUDENTS HAVE A CHANCE TO DEMONSTRATE THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF PERSONAL FINANCE/ECONOMICS IN A FUN AND CHALLENGING WAY. THESE PROGRAMS ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO TAKE AN INTEREST IN THEIR FINANCIAL FUTURE. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE COMPETITIONS THAT ENCOURAGE THE STUDENTS TO MAKE REAL WORLD CONNECTIONS, AND OFFER OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS TO ADVANCE TO NATIONAL EVENTS.
