THE CENTER FOR MIGRATION STUDIES OF NEW YORK (CMS) PRODUCES RIGOROUS, INDEPENDENT RESEARCH, SCHOLARSHIP AND PUBLIC POLICY ANALYSIS. IT WORKS WITH POLICYMAKERS ON INTERNATIONAL, REGIONAL, NATIONAL AND LOCAL LEVELS; SCHOLARS AND RESEARCHERS; AND COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS. ITS WORK PARTICULARLY FOCUSES ON UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS, REFUGEES, IMMIGRANT DETAINEES, AND OTHER AT-RISK POPULATIONS. IT SEEKS TO LIFT UP THE INSIGHTS AND AGENCY OF THESE COMMUNITIES. IN 2021, CMS: 1. PUBLISHED THE INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION REVIEW (IMR), A QUARTERLY, PEER-REVIEWED, INTERDISCIPLINARY JOURNAL ON INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION. IN 2021, IMR RECEIVED MORE THAN 600 MANUSCRIPTS AND RECEIVED ITS HIGHEST EVER IMPACT FACTOR, CEMENTING ITS POSITION AS THE FLAGSHIP JOURNAL IN MIGRATION STUDIES. IMR PUBLISHES CUTTING-EDGE MIGRATION SCHOLARSHIP FROM ACROSS THE SOCIAL SCIENCES AND RELATED FIELDS. ITS ARTICLES ADDRESS MIGRATION DYNAMICS IN BOTH THE GLOBAL NORTH AND SOUTH AND IN THE CONTEXT OF BOTH FORCED AND VOLUNTARY MIGRATIONS.
