THE WHIRLY-GIRLS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM PROVIDES ADVANCED TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS WHICH ARE AWARDED ANNUALLY TO QUALIFIED WOMEN PILOTS. THEY ARE INTENDED TO IMPROVE PILOT SKILLS AND SAFETY, INCREASE ORGANIZATIONAL AND MEMBER EXPOSURE AND STATUS, PROMOTE THE ENGAGEMENT OF WOMEN PILOTS IN AVIATION, AND INCREASE THE OVERALL NUMBER OF FEMALE HELICOPTER PILOTS.
ANNUAL MEETING, EDUCATION DAY AND SOCIAL GATHERING PROVIDED MEMBERSHIP AND INTERESTED PARTIES WITH REPORTS OF ORGANIZATIONAL ACTIVITIES. ATTENDEES PARTICIPATE IN SAFETY PRESENTATIONS, EXCHANGE INFORMATION, AND MENTORING ARE ACCOMPLISHED. ACTIVE MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO VOLUNTEER FOR OPEN POSITIONS AND VOTE FOR BOARD MEMBERS.IN 2021, ALL EVENTS WERE VIRTUAL DUE TO COVID-19.
