ARTSBUILD PROVIDES BROAD FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF THE ARTS IN HAMILTON COUNTY THROUGH GRANTMAKING, INCLUDING COMPETITIVE ANNUAL OPERATING GRANTS FOR LOCAL ARTS ORGANIZATIONS, SMALL GRANTS FOR UNIQUE ARTS PROJECTS, AND GRANTS FOR INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS. IN FY2022, ARTSBUILD AWARDED GENERAL OPERATING SUPPORT GRANTS TO 19 ARTS ORGANIZATIONS AND COMMUNITY PROJECT SUPPORT GRANTS TO 20 RECIPIENTS. ADDITIONALLY, ARTSBUILD AWARDED 10 RACIAL EQUITY GRANTS FOR INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS, 7 TENNESSEE ARTS COMMISSION ABC GRANTS, 2 ARTISTS WORK GRANTS, AND 12 ARTS RECOVERY GRANTS.
IN FY2022, ARTSBUILD'S IMAGINE! ARTS EDUCATION INITIATIVE SERVED 13,700 PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS IN GRADES K-4. TEACHERS AT EACH GRADE LEVEL HAD ACCESS TO A FREE ARTS EXPERIENCE FIELD TRIP OR VIDEO SERIES FOR THEIR STUDENTS AND RELATED CURRICULUM GUIDES. NEXT YEAR 5TH GRADE WILL BE FULLY INCORPORATED INTO THE PROGRAM, SO THAT STUDENTS IN GRADES K-5 WILL HAVE A SYSTEMATIC INTRODUCTION AND EXPOSURE TO THE ARTS. ARTSBUILD ALSO PROVIDED TWO FREE ARTS INTEGRATION PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS FOR 58 LOCAL EDUCATORS.
ARTSBUILD SUPPORTS THE LOCAL ARTS SECTOR WITH PROGRAMS THAT PROVIDE RESOURCES, SKILLS TRAINING AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT. IN FY2022, ARTSBUILD OFFERED A SHARED SERVICES PROGRAM WITH A HOST OF CONSULTING SERVICES, PROVIDERS AND WORKSHOPS MATCHED WITH NEEDS OF ARTS ORGANIZATIONS, FACILITATED A COHORT OF ORGANIZATIONS UTILIZING MONKEYPOD SOFTWARE PLATFORM FOR NONPROFITS, HAD 126 PARTICIPANTS IN OUR TECH GOES HOME FOR THE ARTS PROGRAM, AND PLACED 4 COLLEGE STUDENTS IN 10-WEEK PAID PART-TIME INTERNSHIPS WITH ARTS ORGANIZATIONS.
