ASSIST COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS PROFESSIONALS AT ALL COLLEGIATE LEVELS WITH PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND CONTINUING EDUCATION, HELPING ITS MEMBERS DEAL IN A STRATEGIC AND EFFECTIVE MANNER WITH THE VARIOUS ISSUES, CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES THAT EXIST WITHIN THE FAST-PACED AND EVER-CHANGING COLLEGIATE COMMUNICATIONS ENVIRONMENT. PLAY A SIGNIFICANT LEADERSHIP AND RESOURCE ROLE WITHIN THE OVERALL COLLEGIATE ATHLETICS ENTERPRISE, THUS HELPING OTHER MANAGEMENT GROUPS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE MEMBERSHIPS DEAL WITH THE SET OF COMMUNICATIONS-BASED ISSUES THAT IS THE MOST COMPLEX AND CHALLENGING IN HISTORY.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THIS ORGANIZATION INCLUDE PROVIDING A COLLECTIVE VOICE FOR ATHLETICS COMMUNICATIONS AND CREATIVE CONTENT PROFESSIONALS IN PROMOTING THE IMAGE OF THEIR INSTITUTIONS AND THEIR PROFESSION BOTH INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY; ENCOURAGING DISCUSSING OF ISSUES AND EXCHANGE OF IDEAS THAT IMPACT AND ENHANCE THE IMAGE OF THEIR INSTITUTIONS AND THE ROLE OF ATHLETICS COMMUNICATIONS AND CREATIVE CONTENT PROFESSIONALS; PROVIDING HELPFUL INFORMATION TO THESE PROFESSIONALS VIA AN ANNUAL CONVENTION, WEBINARS, E-BLASTS, ETC; PROVIDING AND ENCOURAGING AN EMPHASIS ON DIVERSITY IN THE AREAS OF GENDER, RACE AND DIVISIONAL REPRESENTATION; PROVIDING IDEAS AND RESOURCES TO ENHANCE CURRENT AND DEVELOP NEW RECOGNITION PROGRAMS FOR COLLEGIATE STUDENT-ATHLETES AND ATHLETIC PROFESSIONALS; AND ALIGNING WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS WHOSE MISSIONS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE ORGANIZATION.
