THE REMAINING 12 ACRES OF THE PROPERTY PROVIDE VISITOR WALKING TRAILS, A PICNIC GROVE THAT IS BEING REFURBISHED AND RESTORED FOR RECREATION AND TO ALLOW VISITORS ACCESS TO NATURE, AND BUILDINGS THAT CONTAIN FARM IMPLEMENTS, ARTIFACTS AND ARCHIVES FROM THE ORIGINAL ORGANIC FARM, WALNUT ACRES, AND ITS FOUNDERS' PERSONAL PAPERS, CHALET, COMPANY STORE, ETC. PAUL AND BETTY KEENE BEGAN OPERATING THEIR ORGANIC FARM IN 1946 AND NAMED IT WALNUT ACRES. THE ORGANIC FARM CONTINUED FOR ALMOST 60 YEARS.
