COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS IN MEDICINE PROVIDES COMPASSIONATE PRIMARY MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE AND HEALTH EDUCATION TO PEOPLE WHO LIVE OR WORK IN THE CHESTER COUNTY REGION WHO LACK ACCESS TO INSURANCE IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THEIR GOALS TO LEAD PRODUCTIVE, HEALTHY AND HOPEFUL LIVES.

CVIM CONTINUES TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY WITH COVID BECOMING A PART OF REGULAR OPERATIONS. CVIM SERVED 4,263 ADULTS, CHILDREN AND SENIORS DURING 39,241 FREE MEDICAL, SPECIALTY, DENTAL, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, MEDICATION, WELLNESS AND EDUCATION VISITS AND ENCOUNTERS. 654 PATIENTS - TODDLERS THROUGH SENIORS - RECEIVED DENTAL CARE AT SATELLITE LOCATIONS IN UNDERSERVED AREAS OF SOUTHERN AND EASTERN CHESTER COUNTY DURING 1,113 VISITS. CVIM OFFERS COVID VACCINES DAILY DURING PATIENT APPOINTMENTS AND RUN VACCINE CLINICS DURING BOOSTER SEASONS IN RESPONSE TO THE CDC'S COVID PROTOCOLS. AS OF JUNE 2022, 78.6% OF ACTIVE PATIENTS OVER THE AGE OF 12 HAVE BEEN VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19. 329 VOLUNTEERS DONATED 38,690 HOURS OF SERVICE; 30,556 PRESCRIPTIONS WERE DISPENSED.
