THE FIREMEN'S RELIEF ASSOCIATION OF ALPHA FIRE COMPANY NO. 1, INC. PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO THE FIRE COMPANY AND ITS MEMBERS IN TWO MAIN AREAS: FIREFIGHTER SAFETY AND WELLNESS. THE MEMBERSHIP CONTINUED TO UPDATE ALL OF THE SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUSES AND EMS TURN-OUT GEAR TO CURRENT STANDARDS. THE RELIEF ASSOCIATION PROVIDED TRAINING TO VOLUNTEERS AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT FOR THE FIREFIGHTERS THAT WAS EITHER OUTDATED OR NEW EQUIPMENT THAT WAS SEEN AS A NEED FOR THE FIRE COMPANY.
TRAINING IS ALWAYS AN EXPENSIVE ENDEAVOR FOR THE ASSOCIATION. THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES THE FUNDING FOR ANY TRAINING TO MEMBERS PROVIDED THEY COMPLETE THE TRAINING AND/OR CERTIFICATION. IN 2021, 7,182 WAS SPENT ON TRAINING FOR MEMBERS.
