THE FOUNDATION IS COMMITTED TO ENRICHING THE EDUCATION AND LIVES OF MORE THAN 13,000 STUDENTS IN THE NORTH PENN SCHOOL DISTRICT'S (NPSD) 18 SCHOOLS. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES GRANTS TO NPSD EDUCATORS TO SUPPORT AND COMPLEMENT THEIR SUBJECT AREA'S CURRICULUM AND CREATE INNOVATIVE STUDENT ENGAGEMENT WHICH LEADS TO IMPROVED LEARNING AND COMPREHENSION. THE VARIETY OF GRANTS COVER EVERY CORE CURRICULUM AREA AND DOZENS OF DIVERSE, SPECIALIZED AREAS OF EDUCATIONAL ENRICHMENT. GRANTS FROM THE FOUNDATION PROVIDE CLASSROOM EQUIPMENT, FIELD TRIPS, PROJECT MATERIALS, PROGRAM SOFTWARE, GUEST SPEAKERS AND MORE. SEE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON SCHEDULE O. IN FY 2020-2021, GRANTS INCLUDED FUNDING FOR A COMPLETELY RENOVATED TELEVISION STUDIO FOR THE SCHOOL DISTRICT RUN STATION, NORTH PENN TELEVISION. THE NEW SET ALLOWS STUDENTS STUDYING BROADCAST JOURNALISM TO USE TECHNOLOGY USED IN NEWS STATIONS ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND BETTER PREPARES THEM FOR COLLEGE STUDIES. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE PROVIDING BOOKS TO CLASSROOMS THAT PROMOTE DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION, FUNDING A PRESENTATION ON THE NEGATIVE ASPECTS OF SOCIAL MEDIA ON STUDENT MENTAL HEALTH, AND A SHAKESPEARE-CENTERED WORKSHOPS FOR HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH STUDENTS.
