COMPREHENSIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT - PRINCIPAL GROUP ACTIVITY INCLUDES VARIOUS CAMPING PROGRAMSOUR SUCCESS AS A YOUTH-SERVING ORGANIZATION IS BEST MEASURED BY THE SUCCESS OF OUR SCOUTS. DURING 2021, WE HAD 196 SCOUTS ACHIEVE THEIR EAGLE SCOUT RANK WHO CONTRIBUTED HOURS ON SERVICE PROJECTS IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITIES. OVERALL, MINSI TRAILS COUNCIL SCOUTS ACHIEVED 99,292 COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS IN 2021. THAT'S SERVICE; THAT'S ACHIEVEMENT; AND THAT'S SUCCESS.MINSI TRAILS COUNCIL SERVES MORE THAN 5,000 YOUTH IN SIX COUNTIES CARBON, LEHIGH, LUZERNE, MONROE AND NORTHAMPTON COUNTIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AND WARREN COUNTY IN NEW JERSEY. OTHER KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE: OVER EARNED 7,300 MERIT BADGES DURING THE YEAR NEARLY 2,421 SCOUTS CAMPED IN OUR THREE NATIONALLY ACCREDITED COUNCIL CAMPS AND CAMPER SATISFACTION SCORES WERE AMONG THE HIGHEST EVER SCOUTS COLLECTED OVER 130,000 POUNDS OF FOOD DURING OUR ANNUAL SCOUTING FOR FOOD CAMPAIGN TO HELP FILL LOCAL FOOD BANKSSCOUTING IS ABOUT BUILDING CHARACTER, INSTILLING LEADERSHIP SKILLS, CREATING ENGAGED CITIZENSHIP, AND ACHIEVING SUCCESS FOR YOUTH WHILE HAVING FUN IN A GREAT OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE. DURING 2018, SCOUTING PROGRAMS EXPANDED TO BETTER SERVE ENTIRE FAMILIES BY OFFERING CUB SCOUTING TO GIRLS, AND IN 2019 GREW TO INCLUDE GIRLS IN THE SCOUTS BSA PROGRAM. IN 2021, 3 SCOUTS BSA FEMALE MEMBERS ACHIEVED THE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT. BOTH WILL REMAIN SINGLE-GENDER PROGRAMS WITH SEPARATE PACKS, DENS, OR TROOPS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS SO THAT ALL YOUTH HAVE EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEADERSHIP. WHILE GIRLS HAVE BEEN PART OF THE BSA'S COED VENTURING AND EXPLORING PROGRAMS FOR DECADES, EXPANDING ITS CUB SCOUT AND SCOUTS BSA PROGRAMS TO GIRLS WILL ALLOW SCOUTING TO BETTER SERVE TODAY'S FAMILIES. WITH A SOLID MISSION AND VISION, MINSI TRAILS COUNCIL IS MAKING A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE FOR ALL OUR YOUTH.THE NUMBER OF YOUTH SERVED : CUBS 2,021 SCOUTS BSA 2,371 VENTURERS 236 LEARNING FOR LIFE 462 TOTAL 5,090
