EMPOWERING THROUGH EDUCATION FUND: PHASE FOUR OF THE ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL (EMS)ALL FUNDING AND CONSTRUCTION FOR PHASE FOUR WERE COMPLETED DURING 2020. PHASE FOUR COMPLETES WING ONE OF THE EMS WHICH INCLUDES EIGHTEEN CLASSROOMS, STAFF SPACES, BATHROOMS, TWO STAIRWELLS, THREE LABS (COMPUTER, BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY), AND A LIBRARY/AV ROOM. STUDENT ENROLLMENT IS CURRENTLY AT 450. THE SCHOOL OFFERS CLASSES FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES 5 - 10.SMALL EMS PROJECTSTHREE SMALL PROJECTS RELATED TO THE EMS WERE FULLY FUNDED DURING 2020; THE LUNCH SHADE PAVILION, THE SHADE OVER THE OUTDOOR STAGE, AND THE BASKETBALL COURT. COVID PUSHED OFF CONSTRUCTION. THE LUNCH SHADE PAVILION HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTED AND ALL FUNDS SENT TO MUKIT DURING 2020. CONSTRUCTION IS EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETED ON THE BASKETBALL COURT AND THE STAGE SHADE DURING 2022. ALL FUNDS ARE IN OUR ACCOUNTS. WING TWOTHE SECOND WING OF THE EMS WAS INITIATED IN 2020. FUNDING WAS STARTED WITH OVER $130,000 ON HANDTOWARD THE OVERALL $325,000 FOR LEVEL ONE. GROUNDBREAKING OCCURRED ON DECEMBER 12TH, 2020.CONSTRUCTION BEGAN IN JANUARY OF 2021 AND WAS ANTICIPATED TO TAKE BETWEEN THREE AND FIVE YEARS FOR FULLCOMPLETION, WITH LEVEL ONE TARGETED COMPLETED IN SUMMER 2021. COVID ALSO RESCHEDULED COMPLETIONDATE. AROUND OCTOBER 2021 WAS THE FIRST WE HEARD OF THE PUNE DEVELOPMENT BOARD'S PLANS TO BUILDROADS THROUGH THE EMS PROPERTY. CONSTRUCTION WAS STOPPED TO RESOLVE ISSUES WITH THE ROAD ANDAPPROVALS ISSUED PREVIOUSLY BY THE LOCAL BARAMATI WHICH ARE NOW SAID TO BE IRRELEVANT SINCE PUNE HASJURISDICTION. FUNDING CONTINUES TO COME IN AND WE NOW ANITICIPATE COMPLETION OF LEVEL ONE WITHIN FIVEMONTHS OF THE RENEWAL OF THE BUILDING APPROVALS. WHEN THE APPROVALS WILL BE GRANTED IS OUT OF OURCONTROL.
LIFEGIVER FUND: MONIES GIVEN TO THE LIFEGIVER FUND BY OUR PARTNERS IN 2021 HAVE BEEN USED TO SUPPORT THE ONGOING OPERATIONS WORK OF THE PANDITA RAMABAI MUKTI MISSION IN INDIA. PARTNERS CAN ALSO DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTE TO THE SUPPORT OF INDIVIDUAL RESIDENTS THROUGH LIFEGIVER SPONSORSHIP, PROVIDING A SAFE HAVEN, A FAMILY ATMOSPHERE, CLEAN CLOTHES, CLEAN WATER, EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH GRAD LEVEL, MEDICAL CARE, CAREER TRAINING/OPPORTUNITIES, AND SPIRITUAL EMPOWERMENT.
ORCHARD PROJECT FUND: THIS FUND PROVIDES OPERATION COSTS FOR FIFTEEN (18) LOCATIONS ACROSS INDIA CARING FOR OVER 730 CHILDREN IN RESIDENTIAL, DAYCARE, AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS. OPERATION COSTS INCLUDE PROVIDING RESIDENTS CLEAN CLOTHES, CLEAN WATER, EDUCATION CHOICES AND TUTORING, MEDICAL CARE, CAREER TRAINING/OPPORTUNITIES, AND SPIRITUAL EMPOWERMENT. DURING 2021 MANY OF THE LOCATIONS WERE RE-OPENED AFTER COVID. IN OCTOBER 2021 CONSTRUCTION WAS STARTED ON THE LANTANA PROJECT. THE PERIMETER WALL WAS FINISHED AND THE FIRST DORM BUILDING IS UNDERWAY. OCCUPANCY OF BOYS MOST@RISK IS EXPECTED TO BE IN SEPTEMBER 2022.
AG FUND: THE GOAL OF THE AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT IS TO INCREASE THE MISSION'S SUSTAINABILITY BY PROVIDING SUFFICIENT QUANTITIES OF MILK, GRAINS, AND VEGETABLES TO FEED OVER 600 INDIVIDUALS DAILY. THERE ARE ALSO CASH CROPS GROWN TO SUPPLEMENT EXPENSES. DURING 2021 OUR PARTNERS INVESTED IN THE PURCHASE OF NEW FARM IMPLEMENTS, A BICYCLE FOR THE DAIRY, A SEWAGE SUCKING MACHINE, AND A WEED WHACKER.50K OPPORTUNITY: THE YEAR-END GIVING CAMPAIGN PROMOTED FOUR PROJECTS AND A GOAL OF RAISING $50,000 TO FUND THEM. SHARADA SADAN PRIMARY SCHOOL BUILDING RENOVATIONS. EXERCISE TRACK FOR GIRLS. 11 PASSENGER TOOFAN VEHICLE. 50 HP SONALIKA FARM TRACTOR. WE RAISED OVER $93,000 DURING DECEMBER WITH THE EXTRA FUNDS BEING HELD ASIDE TO FUND THE BUILDING OF A LIBRARY ADDITION OR A NEW LABORATORY (TO BE DECIDED DURING 2022) WITH FUNDS ALSO ALLOWING A SECOND TOOFAN 11 PAASENGER VEHICLE TO BE PURCHASED AND A JOHN DEERE (INSTEAD OF THE SONALIKA) TO BE PURCHASED.
