CHILDCARE: THE HANOVER YWCA OFFERS CHILD CARE THAT FITS TODAY'S WORKING FAMILIES AND IS DEDICATED TO IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF FAMILY LIFE. ALL YWCA CHILD CARE PROGRAMS ARE LICENSED THROUGH THE PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WELFARE. WE PROVIDE CHILDREN WITH A CARING, NURTURING, SAFE AND CLEAN, DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH TO GROW AND LEARN. WE OFFER PROFESSIONAL CHILDCARE FOR SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN, PRESCHOOLERS, TODDLERS AND INFANTS. THE HANOVER YWCA HAS BEEN DESIGNATED A KEYSTONE 4 STAR CENTER. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE BASED ON NEED. CHILDERN SERVED : 180
SAFE HOME PROGRAM OF THE YWCA OF HANOVER SERVES DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS OF YORK AND ADAMS COUNTIES. THE PROGRAM IS BASED ON THE BELIEF THAT INDIVIDUALS HAVE THE RIGHT TO CONTROL THIER LIVES AND MAKE DECISIONS WITHOUT FEAR OF ASSAULT OR DEGRADATION. EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO A SAFE AND HAPPY HOME. ONE OF THE MOST CRITICAL OBJECTIVES IS CONNECTING CLIENTS TO SERVICES NEEDED TO IMPROVE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE. WE MAKE REFERRALS AND ADVOCATE WITH A VARIETY OF AGENCIES, ASSISTING WITH HEALTH, FINANCES, HOUSING, DRUG/ALCOHOL TREATMENT, SUPPORT GROUPS, CHILDREN'S SERVICES, EMPLOYMENT/TRAINING, FOOD, FURNITURE, CLOTHING, AND MORE.
