THE CHAPTER PROMOTES, ORGANIZES AND CONDUCTS NUMEROUS MEETINGS TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES TO DISCUSS BUSINESS ISSUES FOCUSING ON MANAGEMENT'S INTEREST IN LABOR RELATIONS, ADMINISTRATION AND NEGOTIATIONS OF COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTS, RESOLVING GRIEVANCES, TRUST FUND REPRESENTATION, AND RELATED MATTERS. THESE MEETINGS OCCUR ON A COMMITTEE; LOCAL DIVISION, CHAPTER, DISTRICT, REGIONAL AND NATIONAL LEVEL AND PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS TO EXPRESS THEIR COLLECTIVE VOICE ON ISSUES IMPORTANT TO THE INDUSTRY.
THE CHAPTER REPRESENTS AND PROMOTES MANAGEMENT'S INTEREST IN MANAGEMENT EDUCATION BY SPONSORING, ORGANIZING AND PRESENTING NUMEROUS EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDING COURSES ON: ELECTRICAL PROJECT SUPERVISION (THREE LEVELS), BASIC AND ADVANCED ESTIMATING, PROJECT MANAGEMENT, CONSTRUCTION PLANNING, CHANGE ORDERS MANAGEMENT, CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTING AND BUSINESS FINANCIAL PLANNING, LEGAL AND REGULATORY UPDATES, AND NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE COURSES AMONG OTHERS. THE CHAPTER PROMOTES AND SPONSORS NUMEROUS NECA EDUCATION COURSES AND "HOT TOPICS" COURSES, MANY OF WHICH PROVIDE CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAM CREDITS THAT SATISFY MANY LOCAL AND STATE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING LICENSING REQUIREMENTS.
THE CHAPTER PROMOTES MANAGEMENT'S INTEREST IN SAFETY AND PROMOTING A SAFE WORKPLACE. THE CHAPTER SPONSORS NUMEROUS SAFETY WORKSHOPS, CONFERENCES, MEETINGS AND SAFETY AWARD PROGRAMS, OFFERS OSHA CONSTRUCTION SAFETY CLASSES AND INSTRUCTION, TEACHES FALL PROTECTION, CPR, FIRST AID AND AED TRAINING, AND HAS IMPLEMENTED A SAFETY MEETING APP.
