THE ACADEMY PUBLISHES A BI-MONTHLY JOURNAL. IN 2021, THERE WERE 9,200 TOTAL SUBSCRIPTIONS TO THE ANNALS. ALSO, MANY INDIVIDUALS ACCESS ARTICLES: THERE WERE 451,783 FULL-TEXT DOWNLOADS IN 2021. CONFERENCES AND EVENTS WERE SPONSORED TO DISCUSS TOPICS PRESENTED IN THESE VOLUMES.
ANNUALLY, THE ACADEMY RECOGNIZES OUTSTANDING SCHOLARS IN THE SOCIAL SCIENCES AND AWARDS THE DANIEL PATRICK MOYNIHAN PRIZE TO A SCHOLAR WHO HAS MADE OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS IN THE SOCIAL SCIENCES. AS PART OF THE AWARD, THE RECIPIENT GIVES A LECTURE WHICH IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. DUE TO THE PANDEMIC THERE WAS NO EVENT, BUT THE PRIZE WAS AWARDED TO MARIAN WRIGHT EDELMAN.
