SHE IS SAFE RESCUE AND RESTORATION ANTI-TRAFFICKING PROJECTS COMBAT SLAVERY THROUGH PREVENTION, RESCUE AND REHABILITATION OF TRAFFICKING SURVIVORS. EXPENSES INCLUDE TRAINING, COACHING, TRANSPORTATION, MATERIALS AND SUPPORT FOR WORKERS. 14,143 VILLAGE AND SCHOOL CHILDREN PARTICIPATED IN ABUSE PREVENTION TRAINING. 7,383 MOTHERS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS RECEIVED TRAINING IN TRAFFICKING AND ABUSE PREVENTION. 603 WOMEN AND GIRLS BECAME LESS VULNERABLE TO TRAFFICKING THROUGH DIRECT INTERVENTION, COUNSELING, AND INCOME GENERATING PROGRAMS. 224 WOMEN AND GIRLS RECEIVED SHELTER, COUNSELING AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING SO THEY CAN FOCUS ON BUILDING BETTER LIVES FOR THEMSELVES. 17 GIRLS AND WOMEN WERE RESCUED FROM SEX SLAVERY AND PROSTITUTION.
SHE IS SAFE ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT CONSISTS OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND SELF-HELP GROUPS WHERE POOR AND MARGINALIZED WOMEN GAIN ECONOMIC LITERACY, MICRO-LOANS, LIFE SKILLS, AND HEAR THE GOSPEL. EXPENSES INCLUDE TRAINING, COACHING, TRANSPORTATION, MATERIALS, RESOURCES AND SUPPORT FOR WORKERS. 5,790 WOMEN IN SELF-HELP GROUPS RECEIVED LIFE SKILLS TRAINING, PEER SUPPORT, AND HEARD THE GOSPEL. 679 WOMEN AND TEENAGERS RECEIVED VOCATIONAL TRAINING TO START INCOME GENERATING ACTIVITIES. 440 WOMEN STARTED NEW BUSINESSES. 439 WOMEN GAINED LITERACY SKILLS. 404 WOMEN AND TEENAGE GIRLS IMPROVED HOUSEHOLD INCOME.
SHE IS SAFE EDUCATION PROJECTS FOCUS ON AT-RISK CHILDREN WITH AN EMPHASIS ON EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR GIRLS. THIS INCLUDES ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, NON-FORMAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, AND HELP FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES TO KEEP CHILDREN IN SCHOOL.
