THE CLASSICAL ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL OF CLIFTON'S (THE "CHARTER SCHOOL") MISSION IS TO BLEND CORE TRADITIONAL LEARNING FOUNDATIONS AND MODERN DAY EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES TO CREATE A PROGRESSIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT. THROUGH THE FUSION OF A CURRICULUM DEEPLY ROOTED IN HUMANITIES AND LIBERAL ARTS AND OUR COMPREHENSIVE MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE PROGRAM, CLASSICAL ACADEMY STRIVES TO FOSTER NOT ONLY SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENTS BUT ALSO THE GROWTH OF OUR STUDENTS AS FUTURE LEADERS THROUGH THE INFUSION OF CORE VALUES AND POSITIVE SOCIAL LEARNING EXPERIENCES.

THE CLASSICAL ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL OF CLIFTON PROVIDED A FULL-RANGE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO 167 STUDENTS IN SY 2019-2020. THE CHARTER SCHOOL'S THREE-YEAR ACADEMIC PROGRAM IN GRADES 6, 7 AND 8 AND ITS PRACTICES AND POLICIES CONTINUE TO PROVE HIGHLY EFFECTIVE IN PRODUCING HIGH STUDENT LEARNING AT LOST COST ABOUT 60%-70% OF THE PREVAILING NORTH JERSEY 'PER PUPIL COST'. FOR FIVE OF THE LAST SIX YEARS, 100% OF 8TH GRADE STUDENTS PASSED ALL THREE TESTED SUBJECTS (LANGUAGE ARTS, MATHEMATICS, AND SCIENCE) ON THE STATE-MANDATED 'ASK-8' TEST; AND THE YEAR (2015) WHEN NOT EVERY STUDENT PASSED EVERY SUBJECT, OUR ASK-8 'CONTINUED PASSING RATE WAS HIGH AT 97% IN BOTH LANGUAGE ARTS AND SCIENCE, AND 94% IN MATHEMATICS.
THE CHARTER SCHOOL IMPLEMENTED THE EVERY STUDENT SUCCEEDS ACT (ESSA)SUCCESSFUL YOUNG CHARTER SCHOOL WITH GREAT PROMISE FOR THE FUTURE. WITHA FOCUS ON LEADERSHIP, CIVICS, COMMUNITY SERVICE AND ACADEMICS, THECHARTER SCHOOL MAINTAINS A LARGE WAITING LIST FOR ENTRANCE AND IS ARMEDWITH A STRONG BOARD, EXPERIENCED STAFF, SIGNIFICANT SEED FUNDING, AWELL-DEVELOPED MISSION AND ACCOMPANYING CORE VALUES.AND THE IDEA PROGRAMS. THESE PROGRAMS WERE ENACTED BY CONGRESS TOPREAUTHORIZE THE ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION ACT WITH MAJORFOCUS ON PROVIDING ALL CHILDREN WITH FAIR, EQUAL AND SIGNIFICANTOPPORTUNITY TO HAVE A HIGH QUALITY EDUCATION THROUGH ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES.
