TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE POLICE OFFICERS WHO HAVE DIED IN THE LINE OF DUTY AND TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS' MEMORIAL AND MUSEUM. THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 688 COMBINED BICYCLE AND SUPPORT RIDERS NATIONWIDE APPLIED FOR THE MAY 2021 RIDE, WHICH WAS POSTPONED UNTIL OCTOBER 2021 DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. APPROX. 400 RIDERS ACTUALLY PARTICIPATED IN THE OCTOBER RIDE. BICYCLE AND SUPPORT RIDERS ARE REQUIRED TO RAISE A MINIMUM OF $1,950 IN DONATIONS IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RIDE TO WASHINGTON D.C. ANY DONATIONS RECEIVED BEFORE THE POSTPONEMENT WERE HELD BY THE ORGANIZATION AND ALL REMAINING FUNDS AFTER EXPENSES ARE DONATED TO THE NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS MEMORIAL FUND, INC.
