COMITE EN UNION PARA SALVADORENOS (CEUS) IS A NON-PROFIT, COMMUNITY-BASED AGENCY THAT SERVES AND ORGANIZES HISPANIC IMMIGRANTS IN NORTH JERSEY. CENTER PROGRAMS INCLUDE EDUCATIONAL, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES. BASED IN UNION CITY, NJ. CEUS ALSO PROVIDES IMMIGRATION LEGAL SERVICES THROUGH A STAFF ATTORNEY AND HAS FOR 22 YEARS ORGANIZED THE COMMUNITY TO SEEK JUSTICE, LEGAL STATUS AND FAIRNESS FOR IMMIGRANTS. THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO ORGANIZE AND EDUCATE, AND TO CREATE COMMUNITY POWER FOR IMMIGRANTS IN HUDSON COUNTY, NJ, THROUGH PROGRAMS OF EDUCATION, LEADERSHIP, LEGAL SERVICES AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES LEGAL REPRESENTATION, COUNSELING AND GUIDANCE MAINLY FOR IMMIGRATION MATTERS PERTAINING TO THE HISPANIC COMMUNITY AND OTHER MATTERS.


THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES COMMUNITY HEALTH RESOURCES THAT BEGAN AS A PARTNERSHIP TO PROMOTE COVID VACCINATIONS AND HAS SINCE BROADENED TO COVER ALL SORTS OF HEALTH CONCERNS AND INFORMATION. WE HAVE SERVED MORE THAN 4,500 PEOPLE, SUPPORTED MORE THAN 40 OUTREACH EVENTS AND PROVIDED ABOUT 100 CLIENT REFERRALS. WE HAVE PUBLISHED TWO SPANISH-LANGUAGE BROCHURES PROVIDING KEY HEALTH INFORMATION TO AREA IMMIGRANTS AND CREATED A MONTHLY SPANISH-LANGUAGE HEALTH BULLETIN.


THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES RECREATIONAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES FOR ITS MEMBERS INCLUDING CULTURAL EVENTS, FIELD TRIPS, WOMEN'S GROUPS, AND MEMBERS MEETINGS.
