THE RURAL EDUCATION ACTION PROJECT (DBA RURAL VERMONT) ORGANIZES, EDUCATES, AND ADVOCATES IN COLLABORATION WITH LOCAL AND GLOBAL MOVEMENTS TO STRENGTHEN THE SOCIAL, ECOLOGICAL, AND ECONOMIC HEALTH OF THE AGRARIAN COMMUNITIES THAT CONNECT US ALL.

RURAL EDUCATION ACTION PROJECT CONTINUED TO ORGANIZE AROUND AND PARTICIPATE IN THE GREATER STATEWIDE DIALOGUE AT THE NEXUS OF AGRICULTURE AND COMMUNITY. DURING THE YEAR, WE MADE GREAT STRIDES BUILDING COALITIONS AND WORKING COLLABORATIVELY WITH ORGANIZATIONS AND MOVEMENTS AT THE LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEVELS.
RURAL EDUCATION ACTION PROJECT CONTINUED TO PROVIDE STATEWIDE EDUCATION, PUBLIC OUTREACH, AND WORKSHOPS PROMOTING REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE PRACTICES AND THE SMALL-SCALE FARMERS WHO ARE DEVELOPING DIVERSIFIED FARMING OPERATIONS.
RURAL EDUCATION ACTION PROJECT WORKED WITH FARMERS TO ADVOCATE FOR SUPPORTIVE REGULATIONS AND POLICIES THAT ARE MORE SCALE-APPROPRIATE AND DO NOT LIMIT THE VIABILITY OF FARMS. REAP HAS SUPPORTED FARMERS AND STAKEHOLDERS IN MEETINGS WITH LEGISLATORS AND THE AGENCY OF AGRICULTURE TO SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES AND CONCERNS.
