FAMILY FITNESS - YMCA PROGRAMS FOCUS ON HEALTHY LIVING, YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND OFFER A WIDE VARIETY OF OPPORTUNITIES. HEALTHY LIVING AND WELLNESS PROGRAMS HELP PEOPLE CREATE REALISTIC GOALS FOR SELF-IMPROVEMENT IN A SAFE, ENGAGING, AND FUN ATMOSPHERE WITH OPTIONS FOR BOTH PERSONALIZED AND GROUP-BASED SETTINGS. CHRONIC DISEASE PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS FACILITATE IMPROVED HEALTH FOLLOWING EVIDENCE-BASED CURRICULUM. TENNIS AND OTHER SPORTS PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS FOSTER TEAMWORK, LEADERSHIP, AND DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL SKILLS.
CHILDCARE - THE CLC YMCA BELIEVES THE VALUES AND SKILLS LEARNED EARLY ON ARE VITAL BUILDING BLOCKS FOR QUALITY OF LIFE AND FUTURE SUCCESS. OUR PLAY-BASED CURRICULUM FOR EARLY EDUCATION SUPPORTS AND NURTURES ALL AREAS OF A CHILD'S DEVELOPMENT FROM SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL AND COGNITIVE SKILLS TO ACADEMIC SKILLS LIKE MATH, LITERACY, AND SCIENCE. WE MODEL INCLUSIVE, CHILD-LED CLASSROOMS AND ARE ALWAYS SEEKING THE BEST WAYS TO ENGAGE OUR STUDENTS' CURIOSITY AND MEET EACH OF OUR STUDENTS WHERE THEY ARE. NOT ONLY DO WE RECOGNIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF HELPING KIDS LEARN HOW TO ENGAGE IN THE CLASSROOM IN A MEANINGFUL WAY, BUT THE OTHER HALF OF OUR CURRICULUM STRATEGY IS GETTING THE STUDENTS OUTSIDE AND HAVING NATURE-BASED LEARNING EXPERIENCES AS WELL. UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF CARING, ENTHUSIASTIC, AND TRAINED COUNSELORS, IN A WELCOMING AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT, CHILDREN CREATE LASTING FRIENDSHIPS AND LIFELONG MEMORIES. FROM SPORTS AND SWIMMING TO ARTS AND ADVENTURE, SUMMER CAMP OPTIONS SPAN A BROAD RANGE OF INTERESTS.
