THE AMERICAN GLAUCOMA SOCIETY (AGS) IS COMPRISED OF GLAUCOMA SPECIALISTS DEDICATED TO SHARING CLINICAL AND SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF PATIENTS, COLLEAGUES, FELLOWS, AND RESIDENTS.

ANNUAL MEETING OF THE AMERICAN GLAUCOMA SOCIETY - THE AGS HOLDS AN ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING THAT DRAWS ON AVERAGE OF 950 GLAUCOMA PROFESSIONALS.
OPHTHALMOLOGY GLAUCOMA - OPHTHALMOLOGY GLAUCOMA PROVIDES A STIMULATING FORUM FOR DISCUSSION OF CLINICAL, SCIENTIFIC, AND SOCIOECONOMIC ISSUES OF GREATEST CONCERN TO CLINICIANS WHO CARE FOR GLAUCOMA PATIENTS. EACH ISSUE PRESENTS ORIGINAL ARTICLES ON NEW APPROACHES TO DIAGNOSIS, INNOVATIONS IN PHARMACOLOGICAL THERAPY AND SURGICAL TECHNIQUE, AND BASIC SCIENCE ADVANCES THAT IMPACT ON CLINICAL PRACTICE.
MENTORING FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF PHYSICIANS-SCIENTISTS AWARDS - THE AWARD ENCOURAGES THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG CLINICIAN SCIENTISTS IN GLAUCOMA BY PROVIDING FUNDING FOR RESEARCH PROJECTS WITHIN THE FIRST 5 YEARS AFTER GRADUATION, A TIME PERIOD CRITICAL FOR DEVELOPING THE SKILLS NECESSARY FOR A RESEARCH CAREER AND ESTABLISHING A TRACK RECORD OF PRODUCTIVITY.
