HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF TRENTON (HABITAT) IS A NONPROFIT INTERDENOMINATIONAL ORGANIZATION WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO ENCOURAGE, PROMOTE AND ASSIST IN THE BUILDING AND REHABILITATION OF HOUSING FOR LOW INCOME PERSONS IN THE TRENTON AREA. HABITAT IS AN AFFILIATE OF HABITAT FOR HUMANITY INTERNATIONAL, INC. (HFHI) LOCATED IN AMERICUS GEORGIA.HABITAT IS A PRIVATELY OPERATED AND FINANCED PROGRAM THAT TRANSFERS SUCH HOUSING TO LOW INCOME PERSONS AT COST, AFTER COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION, UTILIZING NON INTEREST BEARING NOTES. HABITAT EXPECTS TO CONTINUE TO FINANCE OPERATIONS THROUGH CONTINUING CONTRIBUTIONS AND MORTGAGE RECEIPTS.SUBSEQUENT TO JUNE 30, 2016 THE BOARD OF HABITAT AGREED TO MERGE WITH THE BURLINGTON COUNTY AFFILIATE OF HABITAT FOR HUMANITY EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2017. UNDER THE AGREEMENT ALL THE ASSETS AND LIABILITIES HAVE BEEN ASSUMED BY THE BURLINGTON AFFILIATE.
