DUE TO COVID-19, FIRSTWORKS SHIFTED TO A HYBRID- ONLINE AND LIVE OUTDOOR PROGRAMMING MODEL. ACROSS OUR 2020-2021 SEASON WE HAVE FOCUSED ON NURTURING PARTNERSHIPS, CREATING ACCESS FOR RHODE ISLANDERS, INVESTING IN FIRSTS, AND LIFTING VOICES IN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY. WE REACHED 70,000 VIEWS THROUGH VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING, PROVIDED 100 EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR CREATIVES, AND COMMISSIONED 9 NEW WORKS. OUR EDUCATION PROGRAM GREW EXPONENTIALLY, PROVIDING ARTS ACCESS TO YOUTH ACROSS 13 RI SCHOOL DISTRICTS- WE OFFERED 30+ WORKSHOPS WITH WORLD-CLASS ARTISTS AND EARNED 20,000 VIEWS OF OUR VIRTUAL LEARNING SERIES BY EDUCATORS, STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
