CHINESE LANGUAGE LEARNING PROGRAMS PROVIDE MANDARIN CHINESE SESSIONS TO STUDENTS AND ADULTS. THE PROGRAMS INCLUDE BOTH TRADITIONAL AND SIMPLIFIED WRITING SYSTEMS, PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHINESE CULTURAL ACTIVITIES, LIKE CHINESE YO-YO, CHINESE CHESS AND GO GAME, CHINESE TRADITIONAL BRUSH PAINTING AND CALLIGRAPHY, TRADITIONAL DANCING, KARATE TRAINING, BEAN-ART, AS WELL AS BADMINTON PRACTICE. VARIOUS EVENTS AND COMPETITIONS ARE ORGANIZED FOR STUDENTS. SPECIAL FOCUS IS MADE FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FOR THE SAT-CHINESE AND AP-CHINESE EXAMS. A SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE IS ORGANIZED TO REVIEW AND REWARD SCHOLARSHIP TO OUTSTANDING GRADUATING STUDENTS IN SEVERAL HIGH SCHOOLS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
THE ASSOCIATION ORGANIZES VARIOUS EVENTS TO THE FAMILIES AND MEMBERS IN THE COMMUNITIES, INCLUDING HOSTING ANNUAL CHARITY CONCERT WITH PROGRAMS AIMING AT OLDER IMMIGRANTS, ANNUAL DANCE DINNER PARTY FOR THE ADULT COMMUNITY, SENDING VOLUNTEERS FOR SENIOR CITIZENS, ORGANIZING HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FOR "COOKING FOR HOMELESS". PROVIDING VARIOUS EXERCISES AND ACTIVITIES FOR THE COMMUNITIES.
THE YOUTH CHORAL PROGRAM PROVIDES YOUNG STUDENTS NECESSARY MUSICAL TRAININGS. THIS PROGRAM ENCOURAGES THE YOUTH TO PERFORM AT LOCAL CHARITY EVENTS, CULTURAL EVENTS AND SEVERAL SENIOR HOUSING CENTERS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
THIS PROGRAM OFFCERS MANDARIN CLASSES TO ADULT LANGUAGE LEARNERS A FREE AND DEMOCRATIC ALTERNATIVE TO LEARN MANDARIN AND PROMOTE TEACHING WITH TAIWANESE CHARACTERISTICS, AS WELL AS INTRODUCING THE STUDENTS TO MANY WONDERS THAT TAIWAN OFFERS.
