THROUGH STANDARDS-BASED, SCHOOL-BASED, OUT OF SCHOOL, AND ONLINE RESIDENCIES, WE USE THE VOCABULARY OF SOCIAL DANCE TO FOSTER RESPECT, TEAMWORK, FOCUS, MOTIVATION,CONFIDENCE AND A SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT.

DANCING CLASSROOMS SCHOOL RESIDENCY:DANCING CLASSROOMS SCHOOL RESIDENCY PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED TO STUDENTS IN K-12 GRADE DURING SCHOOL HOURS AND AFTER SCHOOL. STUDENTS LEARN SOCIAL AND BALLROOM DANCES AND THEIR CULTURAL HISTORIES, WHICH BUILD CONNECTION, CONFIDENCE, MOTIVATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF DIVERSE CULTURES. DANCING CLASSROOMS TEACHING ARTISTS PARTNER WITH EDUCATORS TO CREATE ENVIRONMENTS THAT OFFER YOUNG PEOPLE A PLACE TO THRIVE. THE PROGRAMS CORE VALUES OF RESPECT, COMPASSION AND SAFE SPACE FOR EXPRESSION ALLOW FOR A TRANSFORMATIVE STUDENT EXPERIENCE.
