TO CONTINUE MONITORING WEATHER THE SAME WAY AS DONE SINCE 1885. TO MAINTAIN AND DEVELOP A METICULOUS WEATHER AND CLIMATE RECORD. TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT ATMOSPHERIC SCIENCE, THE HISTORY OF BLUE HILLS OBSERVATORY AND MANY STEAM TOPICS.

THE ORGANIZATION REVISED THEIR MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMS TO INCLUDE EXPANDED ACCESS TO THE OBSERVATORY WHEN THE BUILDING REOPENS. MEMBERS ALSO RECEIVE COMMUNICATION FROM THE ORGANIZATION AND ACCESS TO PURCHASE BOOKS, OBSERVATORY SOUVENIRS, EDUCATIONAL TOYS AND SCIENCE KITS. MEMBERS HAVE ALSO BEEN GRANTED A SPECIAL TOUR OF THE OBSERVATORY, VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AND INTERNSHIPS. THE ORGANIZATION IS CURRENTLY CREATING AN AMATEUR RADIO CLUB AS PART OF THE OBSERVATORY MEMBERSHIP.
DUE TO COVID, THE ORGANIZATION HAD TO MODIFY MANY OF THEIR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. IN PERSON PROGRAMS WERE DECREASED AND THE ONLINE PROGRAMS WERE EXPANDED. THE ORGANIZATION DID A SERIES OF ONLINE PROGRAMS ON WEATHER EVENTS, REMOTE VIRTUAL TOURS OF THE OBSERVATORY AND WEB INTERVIEWS WITH AUTHORS, METEOROLOGISTS AND OTHER SCIENTISTS. THE ORGANIZATION PARTICIPATED IN THE SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND WEATHER CONFERENCE WHICH IS COHOSTED WITH THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE. THE VIRTUAL PROGRAMS SERVED OVER 500 PEOPLE OF ALL AGES. THE ORGANIZATION WELCOMED SMALL GROUPS ON TOURS OF THE OBSERVATORY. OUR ROOFTOP ONLY TOUR HOSTED OVER 1,200 ADULTS AND MORE THAN 800 YOUTH. "LAUNCH YOUR METEOROLOGY CAREER" WORKSHOP WAS CONTINUED AND SERVED 6 PARTICIPANTS.
