THIS YEAR THE ANNUAL RON DESPRES MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT IN HONOR OF ONE OF THE ORIGINAL CHARTER MEMBERS WAS HELD TO PROMOTE SOCIAL GATHERING FOR CHANBER MEMBERS, BUSINESS AND GUESTS AS WELL A ROUND OF GOLF. THIS YEAR BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER GODS THE TOURNAMENT WAS RESCHEDULES TO AUGUST THERE WAS A GOOD TURN OUT AND WERE OVER 15 VOLUNTEERS FOR THE EVENT AND HAD 14 TEAMS AND 56 GOLFERS.
THIS YEAR THE ANNUAL MEETING WAS HELD TO RECONIZE AND CELEBRATE THE OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION OF ITS COMMUNITY LEADERS, ACKNOWLEDGE DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS, THANK OUTGOING DIRECTORS, AND WELCOME NEW DIRECTORS. THE CHAMBER AWARDED THE 2021 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD WENT TO CATHY FURZE , THE BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD WENT TO COURNOYER FUNERAL HOME AND THE NON-PROFIT OF THE YEAR AWARD WENT TO THREADS OF HOPE THIS YEAR THE ANNUAL MEETING WAS PRESENTED VIA ZOOM.
THE CHAMBER MAINTAINS AN OFFICE ON 7 MAIN STREET, JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE WHERE IT CONDUCTS ITS BOARD OF DIRECTOR MEETINGS AND HAS INFORMATIONAL MATERIAL ON A VARITY OF MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS IN THE REGION. THE CHAMBER ALSO CONDUCTS MONTHLY BREAKFAST MEETINGS AS WELL AS AFTER HOURS GATHERINGS AS A WAY TO INTRODUCE MEMBERS AND INTERESTED GUESTS TO A VARIETY OF BUSINESSES IN THE COMMUNITY.
