TO PROVIDE RELIEF TO THE POOR OR NEEDY LIVING IN NORTH HAVEN, MAINE. NORTH HAVEN IS AN ISLAND OFF THE COAST OF MAINE. THIS RELIEF IS PROVIDED BY ASSISTING QUALIFIED ISLAND RESIDENTS WITH THE PAYMENT OF MEDICAL BILLS, UTILITIES, HEATING AND HOUSING.

Part 3 - Line 4a

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE - GRANTS TO NEEDY INDIVIDUALS FOR HOSPITALIZATION, MEDICAL TESTS, DOCTOR AND DENTIST VISITS, COUNSELING, MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY TRANSPORT. ALL ASSISTANCE IS PAID DIRECTLY TO THE PROVIDERS.


GRANTS TO SOUTHERN HARBOR ELDERCARE TO ASSIST IN PAYING FOR A 6 UNIT ROOM NURSING HOME AND HOSPICE CARE CENTER. SERVICES INCLUDE PROVIDING A HOME FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN NOT LIVE ALONE DUE TO MEDICAL ISSUES AND FOR THOSE WHO ARE DYING.


GRANTS TO THE TOWN OF NORTH HAVEN TO ASSIST IN PAYING AN OUTREACH WORKER AND AN ELDERCARE WORKER WHO PERFORM SERVICES TO THE POOR AND ELDERLY. SERVICES CONSIST OF DRIVING THEM TO THE MAINLAND FOR MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS OR ASSISTING THEM AT HOME WITH THEIR MEDICAL NEEDS.
